Here, the garden first had to offer a place to pause — a green pause, screened from view, between the lawn and the house wall.
Large boulders, arranged as though they had always been there, structure the low planting — santolina, yarrow, ornamental grasses — along a gravel path that runs beside the façade. A hanging chair in natural fibre, tucked between two column-shaped cypress, closes the scene and invites you to linger.
The lawn opens up generously at the centre of the plot, leaving plenty of room for family time in the warmer months, while the border planting connects with the neighbouring gardens without ever imposing on them.
